I'm Alyssa - a Jesus-loving adventurer with a passion for making people feel comfortable and seen. My hobbies include sleeping through entire flights as I fulfill my travel dreams, cooking way too much food for myself, and singing loudly in my car.
My secret weapon is my love and appreciation for The Office. Why, you ask? There's something about a little bit of dry humor that tends to calm the nerves of the day. ;)
You have chosen to let someone into your world more fully than anyone else - the ultimate demonstration of vulnerability. This is what I believe marriage is, and this is what I will always passionately advocate for. I chose to be a couples’ photographer so that I could turn vulnerability into art, a visual representation of all the things you two have been through together, all the ways you’ve been there for each other, and all the things you deserve to be recognized for.
It is surreal to me that I get to spend my days making couples feel comfortable enough to capture images that represent them perfectly. What a blessing and a joy.
Planning your wedding should be fun and meaningful, but often that gets lost in the chaos. I’m here for you if you need to run tough decisions past an objective source, here to be your advocate for your wants/needs on the actual day, and here to brag on you after the fact.
I am most likely to cry during moments involving family on your wedding day. That’s because mine has been with me through everything - they’re my constant. I know not everyone has that experience, but ultimately you deserve to have whoever is “family” to you right there by your side.
I may overuse the word vulnerability, but only because of how much it means to me, especially when it comes to photography. I also can’t expect my clients to be so openly themselves in front of the camera if I can’t also be honest, too.
I wouldn’t be who I am or doing what I do if it weren’t for my relationship with Jesus. He is at my core, or at least that’s my goal. The way I serve and love on my clients is because of that.
